The following rules are to be considered additional and complementary to the code of ethics from which they draw their cogent nature and ensuing penalties. They can however be subject to variation, due to both to the addition of new rules and changes in practice, and in the uses and national and/or international legislation on the activity of the Broker.

With a view to ensuring a better user experience regarding the services and/or information that R.I.B. S.p.A. offers through this website, you may be requested to provide information and/or data concerning you and/or your business, your address (including email address), etc. In this respect, you may rest assured that our Company will use all of your data in full compliance with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

To this end, please be aware that R.I.B S.p.A. will process your personal data in full compliance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679. As a result, your data will be entered in our Company’s database with your prior consent, except for the cases provided for under Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we inform you that:

• Our Company, R.I.B. REINSURANCE INTERNATIONAL BROKER S.P.A.., with registered office in 20122 Milan, Corso di Porta Romana 122, Italy with certified mail: privacy-ribspa@legalmail.it , will act as Data Controller;
• Mr. Giorgio Balzarini will act as Data Processor;
• Purposes of the processing: Your data will be processed as part of R.I.B S.p.A.’s ordinary brokerage business for the following purposes: compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, discharge of accounting, banking, insurance, financial, credit protection, welfare and social security and union-related formalities;
• Data processing means: Your Data will be processed using manual, IT and electronic means in strict compliance with the aforesaid purposes and, in any event, using methods that will keep your Data secure and confidential;
• The Data we collect qualify as sensitive data;
• Categories of entities to whom your Data may be disclosed include: Companies/Agencies/Brokers/Banks/Advisors as well as employees working at R.I.B. S.p.A.’s establishments in their capacity as data processors and persons in charge of the processing. A full list of the data processors is available at the corporate office and may be obtained by contacting the Data Processor as mentioned above;

Data retention period: Your Data will be retained for such a period of time as necessary to perform brokerage tasks and at any rate in strict compliance with the term of insurance contracts and any renewals thereof.

The data provided by you are to be considered essential to acquire the necessary background information and will be processed in full compliance with the provisions under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

As a result, we would like to inform you that:

• The information/data provided by you will be used for carrying out an adequate assessment of your application for a position within our Company;
• Your data will be retained for a period of time strictly necessary to assess the existence of any openings;
• Providing your data is optional but refusing to do so may make it impossible or difficult for us to check your application.
• Please be aware that all the data provided by you may be disclosed to independent workers, specifically designated employees, consultants as well as other R.I.B. S.p.A’s offices, and other companies including those located outside the Italian territory, in order to cover the broadest range of employment opportunities.

We hereby inform you that all the data will be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Your data will be collected solely for the stated purposes and processed in a manner that is not incompatible with such purposes. Your data will, where necessary, be updated, erased and/or rectified. They will be kept so as to permit your identification for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which your personal data are processed. In addition, you may contact the Data Controller and Data Processor to exercise your rights, as pursuant to the aforesaid Regulation. In particular, you have the right to:

• Obtain from the Data Controller access to, rectification and/or erasure and/or restriction of your Personal Data, object to their processing and exercise the right to data portability;
• Lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority;
• Know the source your Personal Data originate from and, if appropriate, whether or not such data were obtained from publicly available sources;
• Obtain confirmation from the Data Controller as to whether or not your personal data are being processed, and, in that case, access to such personal data and the following information:
  • a. Purposes of the processing;
  • b. Categories of personal data concerned;
  • c. The recipients or categories of recipients to whom the Personal Data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients of third-party countries or international organisations;
  • d. Where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
  • e. The existence of your right to request from the Data Controller rectification or erasure of your Personal Data, or restriction of processing your data or to object to such processing;
  • f. The right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority;
  • g. The right to obtain any available information on their source where the personal data were not collected from you;
  • h. The existence of automated decision-making processes, including profiling, referred to in Article 22(1) and (4) and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for you;
• Obtain the rectification of your inaccurate personal data without undue delay;
• Have incomplete personal data completed, including by providing a supplementary statement and taking due account of the processing purposes;
• Obtain the erasure of your personal data without undue delay;
• Obtain from the Data Controller restriction on processing where one of the circumstances as under Article 18 of the Regulation applies.
• Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and transmit those data to another Data Controller without hindrance from the Data Controller to which the personal data have been provided as pursuant to Article 19 of the Regulation;
• Object, at any time and based on your particular situation, to processing of your personal data pursuant to point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) of the Regulation, including profiling based on those provisions, and object to such processing for direct marketing purposes.
