Terms and conditions of use
The conditions of use on the www.ribgroup.com website are issued by R.I.B. Reinsurance International Brokers S.p.A. (RIB) and are applicable also to any blog sites and more generally to any platforms held, possessed or managed directly or indirectly by RIB, which reserves the right to publish additional conditions of use.
Any user who accesses the RIB sites automatically accepts to be bound by these conditions of use and to respect all applicable laws and regulations. Otherwise the user cannot browse the contents of the website. Similarly, we remind and caution the user that all matters expressed or contained in the RIB website are intended for use in those countries in which the distribution is not in contrast with or prohibited by national and/or local law. In such cases, the user is not authorised to access this website and/or to use its contents.
R.I.B. Reinsurance International Brokers S.p.A. is a joint stock company incorporated in 1988 in Italy and has its registered office at Corso di Porta Romana 122 – 20122, Milan, VAT Registration No. 10968100155, all in compliance with Italian law. RIB is an insurance and reinsurance broker entered in the “Consolidated Register of insurance and reinsurance intermediaries” at No. B000116674, section B and operates in “REINSURANCE AND INSURANCE MEDIATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 1 OF ITALIAN LAW NO.792 OF 28 NOVEMBER 1984 AND RELEVANT CONSULTANCY”.
RIB does not guarantee that all its services or contents will be available worldwide and in any event does not guarantee, even indirectly or implicitly, the reliability of said content which shall never be considered by the user as conforming to the content made available by other insurance companies belonging to RIB or otherwise, insofar as it can differ from or even be contrary to it. The user acknowledges that there is no obligation by RIB to update or maintain updated the information on the services and solutions contained on the site.
The user acknowledges that any content present on the site is not an offer to subscribe to and/or sell and any brokerage activity can be performed in compliance with Italian law or of the country where the user is located or the law in any event applicable.
The RIB website may contain content including, but not limited to, declarations, images, opinions, in relation to third parties and on subjects not strictly connected to RIB’s business. In that respect, RIB shall have no obligation to verify such content, without prejudice to the limitations imposed by the law applicable thereto, and the author shall be exclusively liable for any inaccuracies and/or violations contained therein.
The user acknowledges that neither RIB nor the service provider or any other party may be deemed liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage to the contents of the website or due to any interruptions in service or resulting from errors either in reading or in downloading. RIB does not guarantee the absence of viruses or errors which may cause loss or alteration of data and/or damage to any equipment or software, including complete loss thereof.
RIB and/or the service supplier are the sole and exclusive holders or administrators of the intellectual property rights of the website and all the website content. The user acknowledges that the mere access to the site does not entail the acquisition of any right. To that end the user shall be advised that saving and printing the content of the RIB website is permitted only for personal use, whereas any form of publication is hereby prohibited. In any case the user undertakes to observe all copyright and other intellectual property rights, to refrain from modifying, copying, transmitting, distributing, viewing, reproducing, publishing, or more generally using any content obtained from RIB, in whole or in part, or in any other way for commercial or public purposes. Users are advised that the intellectual property rights or copyright contained in the RIB website may belong to third parties. Therefore, their conditions of use should also be checked.
Please be informed that you may access other portals from the RIB website managed by third parties. These are not subject to any control by RIB which has not even implicitly accepted their content or functions. RIB does not provide any guarantee for any damage or loss arising out of the access referred to above. The user is the only party responsible for any such damage or loss.
The data protection statement contained in the website authorises RIB to process the personal data provided by the user who is duly invited to read it.
RIB has the right to amend these conditions of use at any time and has no obligation to inform the user who accesses the website. He/she is invited to view the conditions of use in order to be informed of any amendments. In any case, by using the RIB website, the user automatically accepts any amendments which may have been made.
These conditions of use must be deemed drawn up under Italian law and to that effect any request coming from any user must be subject to Italian jurisdiction and the competent court is Milan, thereby excluding any other alternative or competing forum.
The RIB website is managed by Ergo Consulting Sas, having its registered office in Lodi, Italy. The service providers have their data centre in Milan and hold the rights and title to all the content, functions, works and images used in the creation of the website.
